Notarization guide

For Sri Lankan Nationals,

01. Certify the documents from the Ministry of Foreign affairs in Sri Lanka.

02. Visit the Embassy with the following documents,

1. Original document (Document to be attested)

2. Document issued by the Foreign ministry after attestation

3. ID/Passport copy of applicant

- In the event where the applicant is not able to show up, he/she can authorize a person to apply for notarization. The authorized person should submit a copy of the passport of the applicant and a copy of the ID of the authorized person and the attached authorization form written by the applicant.

-When reserving appointments for Notarization purposes the appointment should be reserved under the applicant's name. If an authorized person is visiting the Embassy under the section for notes, the authorized person's name and NIC/Passport number should be provided.

For Maldivian Nationals,

01. Certify the documents from the Ministry of Foreign affairs in Maldives.

02. Send the following documents to the Maldives High Commission in Sri Lanka or through an authorized person to submit to the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Sri Lanka,

1. Original document(Document to be attested)

2. Document issued by the Foreign ministry after attestation

3. Passport copy of applicant

4. Attached authorization form filled by the applicant

- Fee: 4 USD per document 

※ Applicant should pay in RUPEES which amount for the US dollar according to exchange rate in the Embassy Notice 'Visa Fee Increase' 

- Processing time: One working day
